Happy Weekend August 2020

by jolenemac78 August 21, 2020 No Comments

Hello out there in there internet-verse! We hope you and yours will have fun but be safe this weekend even though it is hot, and humid and more than likely stormy. The third weekend in August usually means the kiddies are either back in school or will be very soon. Since Lafayette County started this past week we also hope everyone was able to get their supplies, go to their classrooms, if that is what you are doing, or sign-in with no problems. Making these adjustments to our normal routine is very stressful. We see that the school has posted a Football season schedule but no basketball or volleyball. 🙁 We do wish all the students a great new year even if we have to establish a new ‘normal’.

We have gotten two questions in the emails recently and are hoping that someone out there can help these people out with their questions:

Hello; Are there forms for Contractor Registration/Renewal? Do you support reciprocity with other FL counties for a certificate of competency? Best regards; Don Smith Business Research smithdonc@bellsouth.net Cell 954-646-4369

If you haven’t purchased a copy or subscribed to the new Riverbend News we hope you will very soon. A nice weekly newspaper that covers Lafayette, Suwannee, and Hamilton counties with local news coverage. We have purchased copies for the last three weeks and now that they have their website up and running its time to purchase an online subscription. It is not a bad deal $25/ePub, $35/Print, and $50 for both. So far, they have been getting some nice coverage and all of it local. We wish them well and hope they stick around for 100 years or more.
