Get Ready for The Hewitt Family Reunion

by jolenemac78 February 4, 2018 No Comments

Get ready for the upcoming Hewitt Family Reunion! It will be held March 2 to 4th this year at the Ocala Hilton.

All descendants of Edward M. Hewitt and Sarah Ann Grant are welcome.

We initially received a Facebook message from Valerie Hewitt about posting the event: “I am a Hewitt and some of my family are planning a reunion in Ocala in early March. I have LOTS of relatives in Mayo. That also includes Wimberlys/Wimberleys. I just found the obituary for Dorothy Jackson Wimberly and she would have been my third cousin, from the line of John Hewitt, not that either of us knew each other. Her husband would also be my third cousin from Prudence Hewitt who married James Riley Wimberly. Prudence and John were siblings. I would like to see if some of us can develop contacts. If I wanted to post a broad invitation to “one and all” to the reunion.”

We agreed to post it on our website, add it to our calendar and all of our social media pages. So, if you are related this group of people why don’t you head on over to the Facebook page and let them know you’re coming and who you are bringing.

When: March 2-4, 2018

Where: Ocala Hilton

“This one is of the James Riley and Prudence Hewitt Wimberly family. If there are Wimberlys in Mayo that have long roots there, as opposed to some recent “immigrants”, those Wimberlys will trace themselves back to this family. If anyone recognizes the elderly couple, I would LOVE to know”
