Whats Happening at the Library

by jolenemac78 November 8, 2017 No Comments

Good day to you. We have received 2 emails from the friendly folks at the Lafayette County Library we thought we would share today. Naturally, we like to list everything happening around the county in our COMMUNITY CALENDAR and try our best to keep ahead but we really appreciate it when people send us a message via our CONTACT US form so that we can add them for you as soon as possible. Below are the 2 emails we have gotten since our last new update:

Name: Corinne Wolske, Library Assistant
Email: cwolske@3riverslibrary.com
Subject: Coloring Contest at Lafayette County Public Library

Comment: The Lafayette County Public Library is holding a Coloring Contest for grades K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Come pick up your coloring sheet. When you return it, it will be displayed for patrons to judge. Accepting entries until Nov 29. Winner for each grade will be announced December 1st! The prize will be a $5 Subway gift card with a gift bag.

Name: Corinne Wolske
Email: cwolske@3riverslibrary.com
Subject: Breakout EDU game at Lafayette County Public Library

Comment: Breakout EDU is an escape room game. But instead of escaping a room, you have to solve the mystery’s to unlock a box which will have a prize! Along with the book the game is based on. Here is the link that explains more to the public : https://www.breakoutedu.com/about/
Please add this to the Community Calendar for us along with the link if you can. Thank you!

Done and thank your Miss Corinne for the information and GOOD LUCK! to all the coloring contestants and future readers in your mystery solving.

We have been slowly updating the business pages as well and would greatly appreciate your assistance in keeping it updated with current information about local businesses including their names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, social media accounts, hours and what services or goods they provide. A picture of their store would be great as well. In turn, we will like and/or follow all of their social media accounts and share, retweet or whatever else to help support local businesses in the area.

Does anybody know the names of this business, hours and phone number? We spotted them during the Pioneer Festival event but didn’t have time to check them out further and would like to list them under local restaurants.
