Fall Season Getting You Down

by jolenemac78 November 22, 2015 No Comments

MayoFL05172015 (28)Fall season getting you down? Over the last several months we have all been hoping for a little cooler weather, a cessation of the bugs and time from our many chores to have a little fun. Now if only the weather would cool off enjoy for us to enjoy it. We may be inviting the bad weather by asking for cooler temperatures but we really could use it right about now.

The holidays are coming, people are traveling more, visiting their family and just trying to get out more. So, please be careful out there when you on the road. Hopefully, everyone’s harvests have gone well and the fall crops should be getting ready for picking if they haven’t been already. The kids have been enjoying school, we hope, participating in their chosen sports and learning new things. But we all need a little break every now and then. If you were able to attend the Pioneer Festival last month we hope you have a great time, took lots of pictures and are willing to share your experiences. Drop us a line using our Contact Us form.

If you haven’t been on the website lately you might not know that we have had some server issues. Hopefully, they are solved now. We decided to move our website to a completely new web hosting company. In so doing we were not able to move all of our files over. If you have subscribed to our blog you will have to re-register. Sorry for the inconvenience.

We are still looking for intern reporters. You can either report on school/amateur sporting events, business events or government happenings. It is not a paid position but could lead to a paid position as we will be glad to write you a letter of reference after a couple of months service. You can be a high school student but you will need a vehicle to get around the county, a camera of some sort to take pictures of events and people and a computer to write your articles and send them to us for posting. For more information check out our Be a Reporter page.

Of course, if you are a business in Lafayette County Florida area and would like us to post information about your business, next big sale or just to introduce your services we would be happy to feature you on a blog post as well. Again, use our CONTACT US form to get started. If your church or club are having a special event/festival in the future we hope you will contact us about it as well.
