Traveling around town last June we took quite a few pictures. Now we have updated some of the pages with new listings and deleted some that seem to be no longer valid. If you are running a business in and around Lafayette County Florida and would like to be listed under our Local Business Page. Send us an email or fill out the CONTACT US form. You can even DM us on our Facebook page. Yes, it may take some time for us to answer but we do eventually get to everyone. Down towards the bottom of the post is a quick video we created of most of the pictures we took around the county. Please, Subscribe, Like, Share and Comment!
For those who have been in the county most of your lives maybe you can tell the story of the following picture
For instance, what did it use to be housed in?
What happened to the building around it?
Why is it still just hanging out in the rain?
Who owns it?
Do they have a key or combo to open it?
Is there anything in it? And if so can we see?
During our ramblings, we tried to concentrate on taking pictures of the downtown area
I still would like to know what is happening with the 2-story brick building that still has the letters “Lilly’s Dress Shop”. I would still like to know if it is for sale, how much, and has the county commission changed their mind about allowing businesses to live above their shops?
There is a new dress shop downtown called, Hey Girl! – Looks really lovely
There is also a new Hair Salon right next door called Shear Southern Style Hair Salon
What’s is the deal with The Hornets Nest right next to Lawyer McMillans Office? Are they open to the public or just to Lafayette County High School Alums, Parents, and Students? If they are a retail establishment they should get their own website and a business Facebook page, not a group page.
Now the Hornet Cafe was a treat. We stopped by and grabbed some lunch to go. Sadly, they are a little slow in the service but are very friendly and the food was pretty good.
