Are You Ready for Summer

by jolenemac78 May 21, 2022 No Comments
Are You Ready for Summer

That’s right Summer is here, Are You Ready? There is lots happening around the area not the least of which is that most of the farmers are trying to get in the hay crops as quickly as possible. The poor cows are going to need it in the coming months. There is more wheat being grown around the state but the silver queen and Florida sweet corn is coming in, YUMMY! We love you farmers…

There are a couple of new restaurants being opened and we wish them all very good luck over the coming weeks and months. I, personally, had a chance to try the cuisine at Hazel’s Good Food on Hwy 51 just south of town. Not bad, not bad at all. I had the fried meat pies. Mighty tasty. My lunch partners had the Hot Dog Special and the Hamburger Plate – All-the-way. The prices were reasonable and within range of most lunch menus in our area.

Summer Time Stuff

There are a couple of activities already being planned for families and kids for the summer. The local library has already posted the information about the summer reading program. They have a section of local author books that you can check out and enjoy. Keep checking their Facebook page for more information.

Summer Camps

There are even some Summer Camps for the kiddos being offered this year. We had one posted on the Facebook page called Camp Anderson Anchored out of Old Town, Florida. Check out there website for more information: https://anchored.camp/
