Lots Happening in July

LafayetteBlueSprgs06162014 (3)Lots happening in July in Lafayette County. Not only do we have a wide variety of programs being offered at the Lafayette County Library (See our calendar) there is the FREE fireworks and Independence Day celebration at Edward Perry Ball Field on County Road 400, Lafayette Blue Springs State Park is opened to swimming and picnicking, and Adams Tract River Camp will be opened for canoers and kayakers to camp overnight along the Suwannee River, however Troy Springs State Park is still closed for swimming but you can still have a picnic or head out in a canoe or kayak into the Suwannee River. While the Suwannee River has been steadily going down there is still some flooding in and around the county. Don’t forget while going outside to be aware of your surroundings, look out for snakes and wear lots sunscreen and mosquito repellent. Everyone wants to enjoy their holiday weekend so be safe out there.

Whatever, your plans for this coming weekend we hope you and your family have a safe and enjoyable holiday. Keep a weather eye out on the weather and keep cool by drinking lots of fluid!

I am a single mother and grandmother traveling around the state of Florida visiting all the Florida State Parks writing reviews, taking pictures, creating movies, making bead and wire jewelry for sale and creating websites for those who need them.
