Lafayette County Services

Lafayette County Florida Government Services are mostly all handled in person. That means you really need to come down to the courthouse building in Mayo, Florida to find out where you can get the information you need. They do very little over the internet including emails. Some questions may be answered over the phone and some forms can be mailed out and returned but most things will need to be handled in person. We have gotten quite a few inquiries about properties, liens and even curbside garbage collection. We cannot answer those questions here. We have gathered as much information as we can and have posted it on our Government Services information page:

We have included the address and phone numbers for all government agencies within the county. Your inquiries will really need to go through them. This includes those who want to rent any of the 4 community centers for your special events.

We have also added some Mental Health information on the Medical Services page that you might find help:

Keep checking our Community Calendar page for information about what’s happening around the county in the coming months. April had a few events and May is shaping up to have quite a few more. If you are having a special event in Lafayette County Florida somewhere and would like us to post it to our calendar just go to the CONTACT US page and let us know. We will get it posted as soon as we can. The Lafayette Activities Group is doing a great job organizing events for the county and have a Facebook Group page but we are still waiting on their actual website address to be listed. As soon as we get it we will be adding that to our information site as well.

Fall Season Getting You Down

MayoFL05172015 (28)Fall season getting you down? Over the last several months we have all been hoping for a little cooler weather, a cessation of the bugs and time from our many chores to have a little fun. Now if only the weather would cool off enjoy for us to enjoy it. We may be inviting the bad weather by asking for cooler temperatures but we really could use it right about now.

The holidays are coming, people are traveling more, visiting their family and just trying to get out more. So, please be careful out there when you on the road. Hopefully, everyone’s harvests have gone well and the fall crops should be getting ready for picking if they haven’t been already. The kids have been enjoying school, we hope, participating in their chosen sports and learning new things. But we all need a little break every now and then. If you were able to attend the Pioneer Festival last month we hope you have a great time, took lots of pictures and are willing to share your experiences. Drop us a line using our Contact Us form.
